Job Title: Junior Furniture Designer Job Summary: Key Responsibilities: 1. Design Support - Assist senior designers in creating furniture concepts, sketches, and 3D models. 2. Detailing & Drafting - Prepare technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for production. 3. Material & Finish Selection - Research and suggest suitable materials, finishes, and hardware for furniture design. 4. Prototype Development - Coordinate with vendors and workshops for sample making and prototype review. 5. Collaboration - Work closely with senior designers, site teams, and clients to ensure design intent is achieved. 6. Quality Check - Support in monitoring the quality and finishing of furniture during production and installation. 7. Documentation - Maintain drawings, mood boards, and records of design updates for projects. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field. Experience: 0-2 years of experience in furniture design (internships/freshers may also apply). Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, and Photoshop (knowledge of Revit is a plus). Creative Ability: Good sense of design, materials, ergonomics, and proportions. Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise technical drawings and accurate detailing. Team Player: Willingness to learn, take feedback, and support senior designers in project delivery. Communication: Basic verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination.
