Job Title: Treasury Controller

Location: Chennai

Being member of the young and agile Treasury team at Chennai, Treasury Center, you will provide Treasury support to our vibrant and global treasury Back Office setup. You will be responsible for monitoring cashflows, revenue and overall finance performance of the business. Job Responsibilities:
Treasury Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the treasury back office, including cash overview, trade settlement and reconciliation processes.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, such as payments, fund transfers and FX deals.

Monitor and maintain the integrity of treasury systems, databases and records.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations (front office, finance department, local finance teams, etc.)

Responsible for AML and KYC regulations and documentation

Accounting and reporting

Responsible for the treasury accounting reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually)

Prepare and analyse treasury reports (cash, FX, volatility, etc.)

Identify trends, patterns and anomalies in financial data and provide actionable insights

Implement and enforce internal controls to mitigate operational risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks

Responsible for the audit of Group Treasury

Process improvement and Project Management

Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the treasury activities

Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing controls, and streamlining workflows.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external teams to implement new systems, technologies and tools

Monitor project progress, identify risks and take proactive measure to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications and experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred
- Proven experience of 8-10 years in treasury operations, back-office function or similar role within the manufacturing, banking or financial services industry in a large MNC with global treasury setup or a large corporate house
- Proficient in using treasury management systems (TMS), preferably Quantum.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal is required.
