Vacancy for Operational Buyer

Join us as an Operational Buyer based in Pune, to be responsible for Purchasing Process and Supplier Forecast & Material Management and accordingly to the Replenishment Process, continuously secure the availability of material according to requirements from both internal and external customers.

The position / About the Job:
In this job the Operational Buyer would be responsible for:

- Releasing of purchase orders as per plan.
- Maintain & update purchase orders as per status.
- Follow up with the supplier
- Co-ordinating with Production, Planning, QC, stores and Logistics.
- Monitoring supplier performance like delivery, quality, lead time.
- Taking actions for improvement of supplier performance as per KPI
- Proactive actions on delayed purchase orders
- Sending forecast to suppliers.
- Maintaining safety stock levels.
- Keep control on inventory.
- Handling supplier rejections & claims.
- Ensuring on-time supplier payment.
- Running supplier development activities.
- Ensuring suppliers are working as per HSE (Health, Safety & Environment).
- Proactive and proper communication to internal & and external customers as well as suppliers.

Who you are?

As a Buyer based in Pune to responsible for the Purchasing Process and Supplier Forecast & Material Management and accordingly to the Replenishment Process, continuously secure the availability of material according to requirements from both internal and external customers.

What you can be?
- 3 + years of relevant experience is the same field.
- BE mechanical or production or equivalent experience.
- Should be able to read Engineering drawings, flow diagrams and bills of material.
- Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- You have good Cross-functional awareness.
- Knowledge of production concepts & and processes.
- Should be proactive in anticipating problems.

Knowledge and skills:

- Should be able to read Engineering drawings, flow diagrams and bills of material.
- Knowledge of production concepts & and processes.
- Should be proactive in anticipating problems.
- Should have experience of min. 2 to 3 years in Purchase / ERP System.
- Able to work with Microsoft excel and word files.
