The position / About the Job:
In this job the Operational Buyer would be responsible for:
Key Tasks and responsibilities:

- Responsible for fulfilling the KPI and PI’s for own area.
- Hands-on Experience in Procurement of Electrical & Automation Items like Control Panels, Cables, and Instruments. Bought out items like Pumps, Electric Motors, Filters, Conveyors, Steam Pressure Reducing Stations, Insulation materials, Agitators, Cooling Towers, Refrigeration Chillers etc.
- Evaluated quotations, selected suppliers, and negotiate and establish purchase agreements with the help of Group Leader
- Handle complicated and unique purchases with a significant economic impact on the actual project budget.
- Update supplier database (Jakamo)
- Monitor and manage supplier performance
- Handle reported supplier non-conformances.
- Secure Best Purchase Deal with Right Price, Right Quality, in Right Time.
- Travel related to sourcing activities: up to 30 days per year.
- Commercial sparring and knowledge sharing within own area as well as with other purchase professionals.
- Reporting and evaluation of commercial goals including purchase savings KPI and other PI’s.
- Participation in the continued development of the purchasing functions of the site
- Coordinate procurement matters with other buyer colleagues, network coordinators, supply managers etc.
- Participate in kick-off meetings when new projects are launched

- Ordinated for Delivery, Inspection & related matters of Bought out items.
- Support Market Unit during Budgeting of New Projects.

Who you are?

As a person who manages procurement of external & internal suppliers required for all types of the project at a competitive level by driving purchase savings. To drive continuous process improvement with a performance-driven approach, including the use of ALPS.

What you can be?
- Bachelor of Mechanical engineering. 5 to 8 years of purchase experience in the Project industry.
- English in writing & verbal, strong negotiating skills, financial and legal insight, and Updated knowledge on Imports, Exports, GST.
- Being an open-minded team player, who are persistent, persuasive, very structured and a good communicator that focuses on reaching set goals and results.
- driven by creating results at the global marketplace in a dynamic, challenging and busy working environment in close cooperation with the engineering department.
