SYSTRA India’s comprehensive know-how and expertise in Railways provides a wide spectrum of solutions for any challenge (Building a new rail link, doubling the capacity, gauge conversion, upgrading a network, improving the performance of existing lines, etc.).
Our extensive experience encompasses, Bridges, station buildings, Depots, Earthwork & Track Works, Power Supply and Transmission, Signaling & Telecommunications, Rolling Stock, Utilities diversion and yard re-modelling etc.
Our services cover the entire life cycle of the project implementation.
Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Chief Depot Expert is the key position in these BIDs.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Develop layouts and functional designs for depots, stabling yards, workshops, and maintenance facilities.
- Coordinate with rolling stock, track, signaling, telecom, and E&M teams to ensure depot systems are fully integrated with overall metro operations.
- Define workflows for train inspection, maintenance, stabling, and washing to optimize depot performance.
- Ensure depot designs meet Indian and international safety standards, fire codes, and operational guidelines
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of depot equipment, including lifting jacks, wheel lathes, washing plants, and maintenance machinery.
- Provide technical inputs, compliance matrices, and depot design documentation for bid submission and project execution.
Profile/Skills:
- Graduate in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 25 years of experience in Railway or Railway related industry
- Minimum 5 years of expereince in urban rail based passenger carrying system
