**ABOUT WE THE PEOPLE**

‘We the People’ initiated a long-term livelihood project in Simedga district, also considered to be an aspirational district, to provide vocational skills in non-formal mode to non-literate, neo-literates, persons with rudimentary level of education upto 8th and school dropouts upto 12th standard in the age group of 15-45 years followed by wage-employment, self-employment and micro-enterprise development opportunities along with post-placement and handholding support to the placed, self-employed and micro entrepreneurs, facilitating increase in income of the poor households. The priority groups are women, SC, ST, minorities and other backward sections of the society. We are reaching out to the unreached areas to cater the needs of the poorest of the poor.

**ABOUT THE JOB**

We the people is hiring a full-time Project Manager for its livelihood promotion project for the Simdega district, Jharkhand.

**JOB PURPOSE**

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Project Manager shall perform a wide range of duties including:
**_Project Planning _**
- Setting-up of the training centres and infrastructure at the block and village level in partnership with the district administration, various line departments, potential entrepreneurs, etc.
- Define the monthly and quarterly project targets in consultation with the senior management and make sure that targets are achieved
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project as per the given timeline
- Determine the resources (time, manpower, equipment, etc.) required to achieve the desired targets
- Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required

**_Staff the project_**
- In consultation with the senior management, recruit, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities
- Manage project staff as per the established policies and practices of the organization
- Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization, it’s vision, mission and the project

**_Project implementation_**
- Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organization’s mission
- Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation and efficiently complete the cycle of mobilisation, training & placements
- Develop partnership with various line departments for garnering support and mobilising resources for vocational training, wage-&-self employment and micro-enterprise development
- Increase employer tie-ups and effectively maintain a robust MIS system
- Conduct regular review meetings with the staff and increase their effectiveness
- Supervise and coach the academy staff in meeting targets on a day-to-day basis
- Effective in communication to the Management on the project activities and send reports based on formats and desired timelines
- Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including senior management, client, and partners on the progress of the project
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards

**_Control the project_**
- Write Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) and Quarterly Progress Reports (QPR) and its timely submission to the client
- Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures

**_Evaluate the project_**
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
- Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase

**DESIRED **QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS**:

- MBA in Rural Mgt./MSW/Master’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.
- Minimum seven years of experience in a supervisory role in the field of skill development and/or livelihood promotion preferably under DDUGKY and/or NRLM.
- Experience in leading a team of professionals and dealing with the state govt.
- Ability to review and analyze information, and develop valid recommendations; prepare and give presentations to the line ministries, state govt. and the district administration;
- Communicate effectively to persuade others with differing points of view and to explain guidelines to the public;
- Facilitate public meetings; prepare clear and concise plans and reports,
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, staff, public officials, other agencies, and the public; organize work and set priorities to meet deadlines; work independently; and organiz
