Opening for Cost Estimator

**Job Title**: Cost Estimator (Should Costing)
**Education Required**:

- B.E. (Mechanical/Production)
- Diploma in Mechanical/Production

**Experience Required**: 8 - 12 years

**CTC Range**: Up to ₹16 LPA

**Location**: Ambattur, Chennai

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- **Manufacturing Knowledge**:

- Extensive understanding of primary and secondary manufacturing processes (e.g., surface treatment, heat treatment).
- Strong expertise in sheet metal and machining processes.
- Familiarity with process identification for casting, forging, machining, and welding, along with their cost implications.
- **Costing Expertise**:

- Proficient in deriving “should cost” for assemblies/components.
- Experience in cost estimation methods and generating cost-saving ideas through competitive benchmarking.
- Familiar with VA/VE process, approach, and cost estimation techniques.
- **Operations & Quality**:

- Knowledge of quality control processes.
- Skilled at machine selection, method/process identification, and cycle time calculations.
- Ability to identify processes based on physical verification or part images.
- **Communication & Collaboration**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing technical and operational support as needed.

**Technical Requirements**:

- Proficiency in **MS Office**.
- Experience with costing tools like **Costimator**, **aPriori**, **Hyperlean**, or similar.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Perform cost estimation for selected commodities, including sheet metal and machining (cast & forged).
- Support and validate cost estimations for the above commodities.
- Act as an individual contributor, ensuring accurate and effective cost estimation.
- Drive cost optimization through VA/VE processes and competitive benchmarking.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Night shift
