- Evolve Sourcing Quality Strategy Lead in evolving yearly Quality Targets for the respective Commodity Groups.Drive the Supplier Score-card finalisation process and supplier data base.
- Ensure SQI function in Sourcing as per KOEL Quality Systems.Lead introduction of KOEL specific adherence mechanism at Supplier end.Develope Functional Excellance for all SQIE's in Sourcing.
- Drive Cost Reduction with target of 10 - 15 % reduction over a period of three years. Participate in cost reduction projects using Process Improvement as a lever.Participate in cross functional idea generation sessions, Supplier workshops in order to achieve cost reduction targets.
- Supplier Quality Improvement (Focussed Supplier Improvement Initiative) Understand quality issues from PPM / Warranty reports / Daily Quality Bulletin / Assembly and shop.Review quality issues with SQI and guide them to workout Corrective and Preventive actions.
- Conduct Supplier audits ,Identify and submit the supplier training needs.Work with SQI in order to achieve and maintain quality target.
- Review implementation of Quality Plan at the Supplier.Generate supporting functions help for resolving chronic issues. Capacity Enhancement with Suppliers for regular parts and outsourcing Lead SQI to evaluate the Supplier for resourcing / dual sourcing projects to demonstrate required capacity.
- Guide SQI to identify suppliers / components with quality issues resulting in delivery issues and resolve by specific action such as Poka-yoke.Lead the Supplier Quality Agreement Sign-off.
- New Product Introduction Process (NPI) Lead New Product efforts in close co-ordination with Sourcing Leaders for introduction of new Engines with 100% PPAP approved Components, on time per program milestones.
- Supplier Identiifcation and Relation Management Drive structured Supplier Review Process.Maintain robust communication channel with Top management of key suppliers, plan periodic visits /meetings ,update and involve supplier management with KOEL initiatives ,training and development programs.
- Supplier Conference and recognition Drive planning and event management of annual supplier conference.Recommend Supplier performance data to Head Sourcing in order to formulate the suppplier recognition process.Share KOEL expectations on Quality front.
- New Part review & release / Engineering Change Request Process Lead the feasibility of New Product Developement w.r.t. Quality through APQP.Provide suggestions in drawing for effective procurement.Participate in review of existing parts with Engineering Changes/drawings modifications.
- Closure of ECR's without disturbing production. Six Sigma, Kaizen ,Kanban Gather data on projects that can be driven through 6 Sigma and Lead Six Sigma Process at Supply base as well as in Sourcing.Adapt 6 sigma methodology for development of new components with high impact.
- Promote Kanban and Kaizen activity at Supplier's end in order to improve effectiveness of supply chain.
- Customer Complaint resolution process Guide SQI to analyse Customer quality complaints from PPM / Warranty reports/Assembly and shop and communicate to supplier for improvements.
- Mentor corrective and Preventive actions by using 7 step problem solving technique from supplier and deploy on associate components.Constantly monitor the Daily GRR and progress on other customer issues by closely working with Cross Functional Team (CFT) in order to achieve customer satisfaction. Purchasing Functional Excellance and People Development Develop and implement functional excellance (best practices).Develope plan for Skill gap and individual aspiration needs.Preparation of Skill matrix for people, understanding training needs and provide exposure to various quality Tools.Do structured recognition (Quarterly).
- Create robust succession plan.Conduct interviews and select best talent and support HR in recruitment process.Implement Performance Management Systems in order to develope, motivate and retain best talent.Keep looking for technical / technological developements and latest techniques in the industry in order to leverage for further functional excellance.
- Supplier Selection / Addition / Deletion Process Lead Supplier Approval process.Visit supplier jointly with team to assess technical capabilities.
- Drive the World Class Supply Base creation to meet the requirements of Khadki and Kagal.Collect and collate supplier information on Technical / Quality / Environmental parameters and recommend for approval as per KOEL selection procedure in order to build robust supply base.
- Identify Suppliers with continuous default on Quality parameter and recommend them for deletion from KOEL approved ASL.
