**Job Description - Merchandiser (Baby Apparel)**

**Position**: Merchandiser - Baby Apparel (Woven & Knit)

**Experience**: Minimum 3 years in Merchandising / Vendor Management (Domestic Vendors) **Salary**: ₹30,000 - ₹35,000 per month + Performance-based Incentives

**Location**: Sholinganallur - Chennai

**Role Overview**
- **Vendor Management**:

- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with domestic vendors for woven & knit baby products.
- Negotiate best pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- **Product Development**:

- Work closely with designers to translate tech packs into production-ready samples.
- Coordinate sample development, approvals, and fit checks.
- **Production & Quality Control**:

- Ensure bulk production follows approved samples and quality parameters.
- Monitor production timelines, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Conduct quality checks during production and before dispatch.
- **Costing & Pricing**:

- Prepare cost sheets and ensure product pricing is within target margins.
- Negotiate competitive vendor quotations while maintaining quality.
- **Logistics & Delivery**:

- Track order status with vendors and ensure timely dispatch to warehouse.
- Coordinate with internal warehouse team for smooth receiving and stock update.
- **Reporting & Coordination**:

- Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, order status, and costing.
- Share weekly updates with management on order progress, delays, and risks.

**Key Requirements**
- Minimum **3 years of experience** as a Merchandiser in apparel (preferably kidswear/babywear).
- Strong knowledge of **woven & knit fabrics** and baby product manufacturing.
- Good understanding of **tech packs, sampling, costing, and quality standards**.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

**Compensation & Benefits**
- Salary**:₹30,000 - ₹35,000 per month** (based on experience).
