Position Overview: As a Merchandiser, you will act as the crucial link between our garment manufacturing unit and buyers, overseeing the entire process from raw material sourcing to final product shipping. Your role is essential in coordinating between various departments—such as stores, cutting, production, packing, and quality control—ensuring efficient operations and fostering strong relationships between the exporter and the buyer.

Key Responsibilities**:Manage and lead the Buying and Merchandising team, overseeing all aspects of the merchandising function.** Conduct detailed analysis and prepare trade reports to inform strategic decision making. **Organize and coordinate buyer interactions across all regions, ensuring effective communication and alignment.** Maintain full accountability for the stock management system, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. **Produce comprehensive in-season reports, forecasts, and business plans to guide merchandising strategy.** Monitor and evaluate business performance weekly, making recommendations for improvements. **Oversee the allocation and distribution of stock to optimize inventory levels and meet market demand.** Collaborate with senior management to create and implement clear procedures and guidelines for the merchandising process. **Act as a strategic business manager, demonstrating best practices in team operations and process management. Technical Knowledge and Skills**: Understanding of Fabric and Materials: In-depth knowledge of various fabrics and sourcing techniques to make informed decisions about raw materials. **Production Processes: Familiarity with garment manufacturing processes, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and quality control.** Inventory Management Systems: Proficiency in inventory management software for efficient stock tracking and reporting. **Data Analysis Tools: Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) to interpret sales data and generate forecasts.** Costing and Pricing Strategies: Knowledge of costing methods and pricing strategies to ensure profitability while remaining competitive. **Trend Analysis: Ability to analyze fashion trends and consumer behavior to guide product development.** Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of international trade regulations, compliance standards, and sustainability practices within the garment industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications**:Strong relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively at all organizational levels.** Proven team leadership abilities, with a focus on setting clear business goals and developing team capabilities. **Commercially minded, with a knack for identifying profit opportunities and a trading mentality.** Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather relevant information and propose logical, creative solutions. **Experience in a fast-paced fashion retail environment, with solid merchandising experience.** Currently at the Merchandise Manager level or equivalent, with experience in both mono and multi-brand environments.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
