**About the team**

We are building a world class Global Data Platform using cutting edge Cloud technologies such as AWS, Snowflake and Tableau. This is your opportunity to join the rapidly growing international data team with a focus on driving a cloud first transformation for FIS. Leveraging Safe Agile framework to provide innovative data solutions driving real business value to both our internal and external customers.

**What you will own**:

- Develop products utilizing AWS S3, Cloud computing, and Snowflake.
- Develop DB scripts on Relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, Snowflake; proficient in shell scripting and experienced in CLI/Linux
- Design, Develop ETL processes in DataStage (including jobs / parallel routines / administration / utilizing shared containers)
- Strong understanding of data flow, process, and transformation
- Provide technical assistance to team and evaluate code; lead development for small/medium sized projects
- Experience in job/workflow scheduling and monitoring tools like TWS, Oozie, DBTs, AirFlow, and version control such as GitHub
- Fluency in most IT business architecture areas including business process design and governance
- Proficiency in fine tuning/monitoring the jobs and SQL for better performance
- Monitor jobs and scripts and provide production support, troubleshooting issues
- Experience in error handling, cleansing of data and performing lookups for faster access of data
- Ability to provide technical support and technical quality control for all projects across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Partner with the business teams/stakeholders to understand their strategic goals and help them drive value through data/analytics capability and technology
- Identify & develop opportunities to improve existing analytical & data solutions
- Deliver industry best practice products and solutions
- Take personal responsibility for quality of individual deliverables, and contribute to the quality assurance of the team’s deliverables
- Pro-actively contribute to troubleshooting of data requirements, data modelling, data quality and data governance issues with the wider EDA Team
- Become an integral part of the team, supporting key projects and programs critical to its success.

**What you bring**:

- Minimum of 7 years of related experience with Bachelor’s degree or 5 years and a Master's degree
- 5 plus years of experience in ETL, data warehousing concepts (on-prem and cloud), database programming
- 3 plus years of experience in Snowflake/UNIX shell scripting/PLSQL and Exadata Oracle / DB2
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to tailor results into language appropriate for the target audience.
- Experience working in all stages of mature Agile Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience in handling very large Datasets in Database Technology like Oracle / AWS RDS /Snowflake etc.
- Extensive experience capturing and translating complex business requirements into practical solutions.

**Added bonus if you have**:

- Experience in the payments processing industry.
- Experience or exposure to cloud architectures especially in AWS and/or Snowflake.
- Experience with any scripting languages, preferably JavaScript and Shell Scripting, AWS Services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS and SNS
- Experience in handling sensitive data (PCI, PII)
- Familiarity with use of a wiki for documentation
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe)
