As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

As a Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customer's IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client's site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should have knowledge of some Oracle products and one platform that is being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from senior engineers and management and, in some areas may work independently.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Because of substantial customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis, while constantly achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction is essential. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred with two years related experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Must have Oracle RAC and DataGuard experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Oracle database installation / configuration best practices and Database upgrade/migration approaches.
- 2+ years of experience with WebLogic
- Strong working experience with RMAN configuration, Job maintenance and backup & recovery
- Excellent communication - ability to explain a technical problem to management.
- Ability to work on high performing teams and deliver under pressure situations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Database environment administration (Install, configure, migrations, tuning, patching, administration & monitoring) on any database platform such as Oracle.

**Required Knowledge & skills**:

- A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in installation, configuration and support with emphasis on Oracle Database
- Experience in provisioning and maintaining environments in any cloud platform like Oracle, Azure, AWS or Google
- Working in administering Oracle WebLogic. knowledge of Unix and experience in shell scripting

**Desired Skills**:

- Exposure to pl/sql scripting is desired Experience in any banking products administration like Flexcube, OBDX, OFSLL., OFSAA

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**
- Performs physical database administration (DBA) tasks in Oracle.
- Installs, configures and patches Oracle.
- Implements HA and DR systems using Dataguard and RAC.
- Builds and manages Data Guard Physical/Logical Standby Databases using Data Guard Broker
- Provides rotating 24x7 support as necessary.
- Identify and provide solutions to performance issues in multiple database environments.
- Provides automation to standard DBA tasks. Able to develop scripts on UNIX and Windows platforms as necessary.
- Understands database high availability technologies and guides the company in implementing appropriate solutions.
- Perform WebLogic Administrator tasks.

Qualifications:

- BE/B Tech degree from an accredited university.
