**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Diagnosis and Repair**: Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify issues and malfunctions. Perform repairs and replacements of defective components such as compressors, motors, coils, and electrical wiring.
- **Maintenance**: Execute routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting system components to ensure longevity and efficiency. Perform preventative maintenance to avoid future breakdowns and costly repairs.
- **Installation**: Assist in the installation of new HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and wiring according to specifications and building codes. Ensure proper sizing and configuration of equipment for optimal performance.
- **Troubleshooting**: Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex HVAC issues. Diagnose problems accurately and develop effective solutions to restore system functionality.
- **Customer Service**: Interact professionally with clients to understand their HVAC concerns and provide timely and satisfactory solutions. Communicate effectively to explain repair procedures, maintenance recommendations, and system operation to customers.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on HVAC systems to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Follow industry best practices and company policies to minimize risks.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, installations, and maintenance activities. Document findings, recommendations, and parts used for billing and warranty purposes.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Service Technician, with a proven track record of successful repairs and installations across various types of HVAC systems.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment, including furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration systems. Familiarity with electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- **Certifications**: Possession of relevant certifications such as EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants, HVAC/R certification, and state/local licenses as required.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of HVAC principles, components, and systems. Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- **Communication**: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for documenting service activities and explaining complex technical issues.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues efficiently. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, as well as tolerance for working in various weather conditions.
