
Item Master Supervisor

Overview:
- Reports to Item Master Manager. Supervisor will train and oversee staff managing the Corporate and Program Item Masters. Will ensure staff is equipped with the required material and access to meet the requirements of keeping the catalogs current and relevant. Supervisor will be responsible for creating schedules to reflect proper manning during the identified hours of operation. Must be able to maintain a professional relationship with the customers and approvers. Provide guidance pertinent to process improvement or compliance. Conduct routine analysis on the product being provided to the customer ensuring timely responses, accurate data, formatting consistency, and overall customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**:
- Supervises and trains the Item Master team on roles and responsibilities
- Create schedules for staff to ensure mission readiness and shift coverage during identified hours of operations
- Maintain all program and HQ Item Masters
- Coordinate with End-Users for catalog additions
- Minimizes catalog backlog by delegating and smoothing workload daily
- Performs spot checks on reports and FSC research to ensure quality is being maintained throughout section
- Develops processes that will aid in the team’s ability to work more efficient
- Review documents submitted by requestors for completeness and accuracy
- Inspect descriptions of items validating the item meets the purchasing requirements to procure
- Maintain updated list of program and HQ points of contact to approve additions
- Inform stakeholders of changes of the status of items and request
- Coordinate with other sections to assist with providing needed information on catalog items
- Research items provided during phase-ins of new programs into the system for existing numbers and assist with creating new catalog numbers as needed
- Provides Item Master Manager with verbal and written progress updates
- Timely responses to inquiries or calls for assistance
Qualifications:
- **Minimum Qualifications**:
- ** Education / Certifications**: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- ** Experience**:
- A minimum of 2 years' of experience leading a team.
- Understands data analysis and how to provide visualizations (KPIs/Metrics) to tell a story.
- Understands workload management.
- Previous experience working with Maximo or IFS software is preferred.
- Familiar with material management processes as it pertains to cataloging of items.
- FED LOG / PUB LOG experience a plus.
