The opportunity

The bid team supports the business by planning, managing and delivering tender responses in line with the company's brand, position and processes.

As a remote-based Assistant Graphic Design Manager (bidding) you will be required to manage and execute visually engaging, compelling, consistent, client-focused, error-free documentation. Along with assisting the Graphic Designer Manager in the production of all bid-related documents, presentations and associated templates.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing project production of bid material, which may include third-party / resource planning.
- Assisting in the DTP (Desktop Publishing) of large volume workstreams including bid related material, CVs, project profiles and bid documentation.
- DTP documents from templates, working within company brand guidelines.
- Designing engaging, succinct presentations along with collateral and leaving behind the material.
- Integrating images, infographics, and text to create cohesive layouts.
- Communicating project progress, issuing and escalating risk to stakeholders and line manager.
- Working in conjunction with Mace’s corporate international graphics team.
- Creating and interpreting complex technical ideas into clear, compelling infographics and visuals.
- Following and adhering to the graphic and bid team processes and procedures.
- Seeking feedback on output and communicating lessons learnt.

About you

You will have a relevant graphic design qualification or similar degree qualification and be a member of a professional body. You have excellent knowledge of adobe creative cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). You have proven organisational, time and project management skills. You have previous experience working with large volume workstreams.

You have experience working within the design team and brand guidelines. You have experience transforming complex technical ideas into clear, compelling visuals and demonstrable proposal/publication production. You have experience of working in a professional services environment and ideally built environment. You have experience in bidding environment. You have previous experience in a similar environment managing multiple projects and deadlines at once.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have cost or commercial management experience in managing major construction projects and be poised to expand your own horizons, those of our clients and of our ambitious people alike. You will have experience in working on large-scale commercial projects and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
