Job Responsibilities of a Restaurant Captain

1. Guest Interaction:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive.
- Provide menus and inform them about daily specials.
- Answer questions regarding the menu and make recommendations.

2. Service Management:

- Oversee the dining area and ensure that tables are properly set and maintained.
- Coordinate and supervise the wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any complaints or concerns promptly.

3. Order Management:

- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Ensure that orders are delivered correctly and in a timely manner.

4. Training and Supervision:

- Train new staff on service standards, menu items, and operational procedures.
- Mentor and supervise wait staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

5. Sales and Upselling:

- Promote menu items and specials to increase sales.
- Assist in achieving sales targets through effective service and upselling techniques.

6. Cash Handling:

- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and tips.

7. Collaboration:

- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and service.
- Collaborate with management to address staffing needs and operational issues.

8. Health and Safety Compliance:

- Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor staff adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

9. Reporting:

- Prepare reports on service quality, guest feedback, and sales performance.
- Communicate any issues or suggestions for improvement to management.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
