**Job Summary**:
Provide legal support on a wide variety of legal matters, including contracts, regulatory, and other legal support as directed by GBS and lawyers for the Apotex Group of companies globally and within the mandate of the Legal Affairs department.

**Responsibilities**:
Provides legal support services within the mandate of the Legal Affairs department, for all business functions and activities of the Apotex Group, at the direction of lawyers, including:

- **_Commercial Contracts_**: reviewing and drafting contracts, specifically confidentiality, quality, pharmacovigilance, and indirect procurement agreements; and
- **_Regulatory_**: reviewing and preparing responses to Access to Information Requests sent from Canadian government authorities.

Supports global corporate programs and systems, at the direction of lawyers and in collaboration with other internal stakeholders, to enhance the effectiveness of legal support and legal risk mitigation for all business functions.

Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

**Job Requirements**:

- Education
- Undergraduate degree. Legal degree preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding and legal training in corporate and commercial law, with experience in the area of contract law.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative business relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to thoroughly evaluate alternatives, innovate problem resolution, employ a pro-active approach, and take initiative to resolve problems.
- Ability to think and act independently. Attentive to detail.
- Ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to quickly grasp legal and business issues and provide tailored legal advice and counsel in plain language.
- Ability to provide timely advice in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience
- 1 - 5 years of experience, as in-house legal counsel in a large international company environment and / or in private practice at a top-tier law firm.
