**About the Role**:
**Our Editorial Advisors play an important role in managing an efficient editorial process and standardising workflows. Â The nature of the role is administrative and career development in a role such as this might see you develop through different levels of editorial administration and operational management. Â It should be noted, that this role does not include writing or editing content. Â If appointed you will gain great insights into the scientific operational editorial and peer review process and how it works.**:

- **Nature Research is seeking to appoint an Editorial Assistant/Editorial Advisor to manage the processing of manuscripts from submission to acceptance as well as supporting the standardization of workflows, improved efficiencies, data collection, and to support authors, editors, and reviewers.**:
***Roles Responsibilities**:
**The Editorial Advisor role supports the Editorial teams with processing manuscripts from submission to acceptance.**:
**The main responsibilities for this role are:Â**:

- **Managing the flow of manuscripts from submission to acceptance through the manuscript tracking system (MTS) - performing quality checks on manuscripts and ensuring all forms are collected and stored.**:

- **Providing MTS support for Authors, Reviewers and Editors - troubleshooting and assisting with system issues and escalating to the relevant teams if needed.Â**:

- **Maintaining correct information within the databases '“ updating person records within the MTS and ensuring manuscript information is correct**:

- **Assisting with editorial reports**:

- **Assisting with other ad hoc tasks associated with the editorial workflow of manuscripts**:

- **Providing team cover during periods of absence**:
