International Financial Controller

**Job Summary**:

- The Controller will have a unique opportunity to work directly with the US Financial Controller to build a world-class finance function. This role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting for the business and includes managing our international accounting, including revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, commissions, tax, and audit processes. This role is visible and influential as the International Controller partners with leaders across the organization to ensure we grow efficiently at scale and in keeping with our stated policies and procedures.

As an International Financial Controller you must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills as well as knowledge of all aspects of U.S. GAAP. The ideal International Financial Controller will be proactive & self-motivated, demonstrate a propensity for learning, be a team player and be able to work effectively with the team in all levels of the organization.

This is a remote position with expected overlap hours with US HQ

**Supervisory Responsibility**- This role is responsible for managing key international members of the Finance Team:- Staff Accountant
- Accounts Payable Specialist
- Accounting Supervisor**Duties and Responsibilities**

This role is responsible for learning our operations, ascertaining how to improve them, and thereafter implementing the changes.

The role spans a wide variety of tasks each week and month, which are likely to include;- Managing regular forecasting, planning and analysis, with deep dives as needed-
- Overseeing accounting operations including financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, tax compliance and revenue recognition-
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business & financial reports-
- Ensuring accurate account reconciliations and timely record keeping-
- Evaluating current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes-
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics to support business objectives-
- Monitoring internal controls to prepare for annual audits-
- Evaluating and managing risk-
- Performing additional duties as assigned or required-
- Participating in budgeting processes-
- Reviewing and providing feedback of financial transactions**Skills and Qualifications**
- Experience working in SaaS and / or with a private technology firm.- Previous experience using NetSuite ERP required-
- NetSuite Planning and Budgeting experience preferred-
- Knowledge of US accounting standards including U.S. G.A.A.P.-
- Excellent communications with all stakeholders, and a video-conferencing natural-
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable communicating with c-suite and staff members-
- Ability to navigate through challenges, multi-task, take ownership and deliver on commitments-
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA preferred but not required.-
- Preparation for annual audits-
- Track record of building, developing and leading high-performance accounting teams in a fast-paced organization-
- Experience in designing and implementing accounting processes and controls-
- High attention to detail, organized with exceptional time-management skill to meet multiple deadlines driven projects-
- Strong communication skills to be able to present ideas to management clearly and work collaboratively with different teams-
- Must be a problem solving, self-starter who possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to be persistent, yet supportive to perform the above responsibilities
