About our Team

We are seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Publisher. You will be responsible for managing and developing the growth of a portfolio within one of our Journals group. You will also work on related projects and initiatives that help deliver innovation and growth to our organization.

About the Role

You will be a natural communicator with an affinity for building and managing relationships. You will need to balance academic research knowledge with a keen interest in new online and Open Access developments. You will have a can-do attitude and team-oriented approach, and be able to work individually whilst also contributing to team initiatives as necessary.

**Responsibilities**:
- Developing the strategy for an exciting and growth-focused journal portfolio while creating ideas for new launches- Building and maintaining relationship networks with our research communities, representing Elsevier- Managing the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, driving content growth, journal performance, and customer satisfaction- Working with editors, authors, editorial boards, societies, and the wider academic community to ensure the smooth flow of relevant, high-quality manuscripts- Monitoring continuous quality control and all aspects of day-to-day editorial, production, and publishing operations and effectually address improvements where required- Engaging with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver innovative journal solutions

**Requirements**:
- Have a PHD- Have publishing experience or equivalent relevant industry or postdoctoral experience- Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams and external teams- Have a can-do attitude and team-oriented approach- Be a self-starter and flexible to adapt to changing priorities- Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful initiatives- Be able to identify and understand market needs for potential business opportunities- Have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy discovering new technologies and online developments
