Optum Global India, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses is looking for a motivated & experienced Compliance Officer to help us ensure compliance to our business processes & transactions follow all relevant laws, regulations and UHG’s Code of Conduct. Duties would include reviewing & developing compliance program & responding to policy violations.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Architect compliance policies and protocols on behalf of the organization
- Develop and implement a compliance program to ensure the organization operates in accordance with state and federal laws
- Determine compliance metrics and establish a system for tracking them
- Remain up to date on federal and state laws related to the organization and update policies accordingly. Update relevant policies to ensure they reflect regulatory requirements for the respective entities
- Perform compliance audits to determine whether establish protocols are being followed and where they can be improved
- Maintain up to date written documentation and policies related to the organization's business activities
- Create compliance resource library for staff members to reference when they have questions
- Manage governance and management routines
- Strives not only to meet compliance standards, but also to exceed them for peak operating efficiency
- Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and results through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
**Required Qualifications**:
- Experience in compliance roles or risk management, with total experience if 15+ years
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a compliance certification
- Strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both speaking and in writing
- Possess a collaborative personality and be open to suggestions from team members
- Exemplify strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies
- Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines
- Strong moral code and sense of ethics
- CA / Lawyer / MBA Finance or other similar degree
- Expertise in the Anti-Corruption Act & Local Laws
- Working knowledge on Data Privacy & AML laws
