A telecaller is responsible for making outbound or receiving inbound calls to promote products, generate leads, provide support, and gather customer feedback for a company over the phone.

Core Responsibilities

Initiate calls to existing and prospective clients to boost sales or gather feedback.

Obtain and update lists of contact details and source target audience data.

Explain company products and services in detail and address client questions or grievances.

Record the details of each conversation and maintain the customer database.

Communicate verbal acceptances of offers to the sales team and assist in closing deals.

Attend team meetings to clarify progress and performance expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Superb verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to switch communication style based on the situation and cope with rejection.

Computer literacy and data entry skills.

Good interpersonal, organizational, and record-keeping skills.

Typically a high school diploma or equivalent is required; a sales-related training or graduation may be preferred.

Prior experience as a telecaller or similar role can be an advantage.
