The Role

Within our Database Administration team at Kyndryl, you'll be a master of managing and administering the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations.

Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance. You'll also be responsible for managing user access, implementing the highest standards of security to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access.

As a key player on the team, you'll implement policies and procedures to safeguard our data from external threats. You will also conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage, ensuring that our system is always scalable to meet our business needs.

MSSQL Database Administrator will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of SQL Server databases. This role involves managing database environments, ensuring data availability and integrity, performing regular maintenance, and troubleshooting database-related issues.

You'll be a strategic partner, working closely with various teams to coordinate systematic database project plans that align with our organizational goals. Required Technical and Professional Expertise- 5-7 years of experience as MSSQL Database Administrator.- Strong knowledge on Production Database Operations & understanding the importance of BAU.- Experience in planning and execution of PSU Patching & Upgradation of SQL Server (Legacy Management).- Experience in Performance Monitoring, SQL Profiler and optimizing the queries, tracing long running queries, blockings and deadlocks.- Experience in Installing, Configuration & Monitoring High Availability, Log-Shipping, DB Mirroring, Replication, Clustering and Always-ON.- Good Knowledge on Storage level replication like SRDF.- Experience in Scheduling, Monitoring and Trouble shooting SQL Agent Jobs/Autosys Maintenance Plans.- Preparing/Updating SOPs documents (Technical & Operational).

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience- Experience in providing on-call database support during week-ends & out of business hours and provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.- Periodical Backups of the SQL Database and timely recovery when required.- Knowledge on ITIL framework, Disaster Recovery, index de-fragmentation, re-indexing and update the index statistics.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
