Finance Controller

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Own the month-end and year-end close process
- Regular review of all GL’s on a monthly basis to ensure that the book closure is done accurately.
- This includes ensuring that all revenue and costs are accounted before the close of the books.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements
- Analyse the data in the monthly financial statements and present in-sights to the management team
- Ensure all statutory compliances are in place
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure that a strong FSCP (Financial system close process) is in place
- Ensure that the DOA approved by the board is followed across the organization
- Work with the AR and AP teams to ensure monthly/quarterly Reconciliation with all vendors as well as customers are in place
- Ensure periodic physical verification of fixed assets and inventory is carried
out.
