**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain a variety of DBA scripts to automate routine tasks, optimize database performance, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage and administer a range of databases, including but not limited to Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, such as performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data inconsistencies.
- Lead the planning and execution of database migrations to AWS, including assessing compatibility, designing migration strategies, and executing the migration process.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and implement database solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.
- Implement and maintain database replication, clustering, and failover strategies to ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Monitor and proactively manage database systems to identify and address potential issues before they impact production environments.
- Continuously optimize database performance by analysing query performance, indexing strategies, and system configurations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to database administration, cloud technologies, and data management.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DBA team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
- Proven experience in handling big projects

**Required Skills**:

- 2 to 4 years of progressive experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on managing and optimizing various databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining DBA scripts for automation and optimization purposes.
- In-depth knowledge of replication, clustering, and failover strategies to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex database issues.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of security best practices for database systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

**Job Type**: Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: ₹344,384.66 - ₹533,429.02 per year
