Project Purchase Assistant

Position Overview:
As a Purchase Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the procurement process within the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the procurement manager or team in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials and supplies essential to the organization's operations. You will ensure that procurement activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Suppliers:
- Assist in identifying potential suppliers and vendors for required goods and services.
- Conduct research to assess the reliability, quality, and pricing of suppliers.
- Maintain a database of approved suppliers and regularly update supplier information.
- Purchase Order Processing:
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in item descriptions, quantities, and pricing.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders, track delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain records of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts for future reference and auditing purposes.
- Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with inventory control teams to monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as needed.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock shortages or overages.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel to coordinate the receipt and storage of incoming goods.
- Price Negotiation:
- Support the procurement team in negotiating prices, terms, and discounts with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative assistance to the procurement department, including managing documentation, filing, and correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and analyses related to procurement activities.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and vendor certifications.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement-related documentation for internal and external audits.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
