Introduction:
The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day operation of Controls supporting the Barclays Financial Solutions operation, ensuring that the control environment is operated in a managed and controlled way.

The role also includes the development and testing of new controls for the BFA operation, covering Regulatory, Audit, Credit Risk and Operational Risk.

What will you be doing?
- BAU Management of controls for the BFA operations areas
- Feedback of identified controls breaches/issues to the appropriate team leader/business area
- Correction of systemic issues identified through the operation of controls
- Trend analysis of control exceptions
- Liaising with the BFA operations team to support the resolution control exceptions
- Escalation of issues or incidents relating to controls to the Control Team leader or Controls and Risk manager
- Support the development and testing of controls

What we’re looking for:

- Excellent attention to detail - the role will require the ability to review potentially complex information and make a decision on whether an issue has been identified.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal - the role will require, on occasion, feedback to be provided, and clear communication is an essential part of this.
- Computer literacy - the role will require the regular use of a computer, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite of software

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Prior experience in the management of risk and/or control
- Experience of the any BFA operation
- Understanding or experience with Control It and B:)Check
- Graduate or Diploma from a reputed Institute or University in any discipline (BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBM, BHM etc.)
