**Product Architect**

**POSITION PURPOSE**:

- The Product Architect for Integrated Cost Reporting provides guidance in the architecture design, backlog steering for the value focused provisioning of products for the financial planning capability
- The Product Architect supports the Product Platform Lead and the Product Owner Financial Controlling to translate Business and IT Strategy into technology solutions, taking ownership for the product architecture from idea to delivery of better business outcomes. Consequently, the Product Architect transfers important changes that creates business opportunities through technology innovation and architecture.
- The Product Architect provides profound process knowhow and knowhow about roiPE, the system landscape, the technology platforms, interfaces and IT assets.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Guide Architecture decision to improve the product and integration architecture as well as reporting solutions for Integrated Cost Reporting and R&D Controlling (FPM)
- Drive technology innovation and solution design to provide sustainable solution and effectively work with changes, e.g. due upcoming needs from CORE
- Enable integrated financial reporting and self-service analysis and manage the provisioning of products for a constant value contribution for the function & Bayer divisions across internal and external partners who contribute to the product development
- Responsible for a modern, modular and effective architecture, that provides value to the function.
- Enables both external reporting and internal steering decisions. Ensure sufficient internal know-how within Bayer after announced fluctuation. Key external BI experts are engaged again directly from Bayer
- Advocate agile teams recommendation on user stories towards product management
- Lead, review, evaluate business processes to outline challenges, anticipate user stories, uncover areas of improvement to identify opportunities and fit for purpose solutions
- Assess market trends and underlying technologies to drive and optimize business value especially with focus on reporting solution
- Provides technical insights and advices and uses partners like technology leaders to ensure that created artifacts meet business goals as well as EA strategic goals

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
- Expert in up-to-date and emerging technologies in at least one of the areas: Financial Reporting, Good understanding of service-oriented architecture, webservices and APIs
- Good business knowledge of Controlling processes with focus on Integrated Cost Reporting
- Good knowledge of data warehouse architecture and at least 5 years experience on developing data warehouse solutions
- Technology stack: SAP BI, Analysis for Office, Power BI, Tableau
- Profound knowledge and experience in agile and lean methodologies as well as EA Frameworks
- Project Management experience in interdisciplinary IT-projects
- Profound knowledge and experience in agile and lean methodologies as well as EA Frameworks
- Strong business acumen in combination with excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience in engaging and convincing senior executives
- Ability to convince teams to regularly test out new processes and methods
- Wide Experience in orchestrating programs across different functional organizations and allocating resources to ensure continual engagement
- Proven ability to grow relationships with key partners and suppliers
- Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization’s digital business strategies
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work successfully with people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds
