**Combination ITI TURNER - Job Description** **Summary**: "Continual Improvement is our Motto" This is a mid-level position responsible for fitting and welding the components of Multitechh Engi Fab (MEF) products. Works with limited supervision from a detailed specification that clearly spells out every requirement for the specific job. The job requires each weld to be completed to the specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials while following the employer's recommended procedures. It's also important to observe applicable safety precautions, to minimize the risk of injury to the welder or other workers nearby. Many welders/ fitters supervise a team of helpers or assistants. - **APPLY ONLY VIA EMAIL. IMMEDIATE HIRING**_ **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**: - Must be able to make V AND GROOVE ON different types of pipe of various sizes - Raw material checking - Works with different types and sizes of materials - Safely operates all the machines and tools - Assembly of components with some fabrication of equipment needed for the job with mínimal supervision - Works well with other departments on location - Ability to pass the applicable test(s) and applicable Non-Destructive Exam - Proficient in operating flame and plasma-cutting torches - Must be able to operate basic cutting equipment - Promotes and supports safety, production and a positive attitude - Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department **Basic Qualifications** - Minimum two years related experience and/or training **Preferred Education/Experience**: - Must have two years of experience working on lathe machine - Must have experience operating other shop equipment (e.g., overhead crane, hand tools) - Must know different types and sizes of structural materials - Must know about weld fittings - Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials **Physical Strain**: - Standard requirements.
