**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- **
- Being at the frontline of an engineering plant and dealing with all equipment maintenance requires a responsible and organized approach.
- Maintain all the machines timely in the factory for defect free production.
- Manage day-to-day activities of shop floor to support production in shifts.
- May oversee and support the maintenance, electric, and hydraulic work teams
- May prepare work schedules for plant maintenance teams
- Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose breakdown problems
- Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
- Carry out quality inspections on jobs
- Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
- Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
- Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
- Monitor and control maintenance costs
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
- Improve health and safety policies and procedures
- Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery.
- Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
- Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
- Ensures that the facilitys equipment and machines are maintained properly and working correctly.
- Oversees the facilities maintenance program; identifies and analyses equipment or machinery failures and takes corrective actions.
- Provides technical training to Production Operators and other team members.
- Coordinates work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
