How You Will Contribute:
Ciena has an emerging need for someone with an understanding how a business functions as well as how data and information is best organized to deliver insight.

The focus of this position will be to help design, build and manage financial models within Anaplan to provide key business and financial insights to the financial partners that service the functional teams within Ciena.

Anaplan team along with various functional stakeholders. The individual will help translate existing business process into Anaplan.

The individual must have a good working knowledge of Anaplan and must be able to develop scalable models and functionalities.
- Assist in the collection of business requirement and current-state process mapping exercises required to build a user story associated with a new or enhanced capability.
- Articulate design and documentation for Anaplan models (process map, user guide, solution design document)
- Translate business requirements in the form of excel models and/or user stories into efficient and scalable high-functioning Anaplan models. Successfully identifying various dimensions, lists(hierarchies) and line items, thereby creating a user-friendly solution
- Create Hub-spoke & ALM structure along with user experience pages using the NUX.
- Collaborate with the Business Architect to stay current with business design and supporting solutions and associated stakeholders.
- Develop test cases and assist in UAT on the technical and functional acceptance
- Manage multiple stakeholders across various business functions
- Closely follow Ciena and Anaplan model building best practices

The Must Haves:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 1+ year working with data as either a data or business analyst
- 1+ year experience of databases
- 1+ year modeling with Anaplan or 2 end-to-end Anaplan implementations
- 2+ years working in Excel
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Anaplan Level 2 certified or above
- Understanding of the forecasting process and various business functions (Sales, operations, Finance, etc.)
- Critical thinking and Analytical problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in working in an Agile environment.
