- **Position: Procurement Document Controller**_
Factor I: Accountability
- Handle multiple project documents, preparing transmittals, receiving vendor / customer documentation and distributing internally on time
- Track documents on a project using a documentation system and generate reports on overdue documents and status of documents on the project
- Develop style sheet, templates and standard guidelines to be used as a reference in overall formatting of document
- Support the team on numbering and naming philosophy of the document as per standardization
- Manage Revision and document status of the deliverables of Project using documentum
- Expedite internally and externally on customer / vendor documents with respect to the schedule date
- Manage and maintain Vendor documentation on the server
- Being a focal point on the Project documentation / Support / issues for the entire team
- Compile Manufacturing Record Book
- Arrange shipping of hard copies of documents
- Weekly update on the status of the project & On time delivery of documents to the management
- Clean-up of Project folder after project closeout
Factor II: Knowledge and Skills
- Experience of 2 years and above
- Diploma in Technical trade or University Graduate
- Handle large data
- Experienced on MS Word, Excel, Adobe Writer, Power Point
- Experienced in handling project documentation and maintaining proper documentation system
- Experience in documentation system is desirable
- Should understand technical writing and must have prepared Documents / User manuals / Procedures independently
- Understand Project lifecycle and expectations from the PM
Factor III: Supervision
- Good communications (Verbal / Written) skills
- Able to work in a team and take charge as required
- Good analytical skills and should exhibit good ownership of assigned tasks

SUMMARY OF ROLE
As a Procurement Engineer you will be responsible to manage the complete project BOM procurement from
quote to cash, be an active and effective project team member in preparation & driving the project procurement
plan. Engages with proposal team in establishing the right cost during proposal. Collaborate with category
managers & function leads.
Factor I: Accountability
- Align with Project managers in preparation of procurement plan and ensure proper planning and scheduling
of procurement activities for assigned projects is done.
- Maintain & Report procurement status for MSS projects.
- Proactive actions on all projects - Coordination with engineering and other departments to identify and
overcome possible issues related to material & services procurement.
- Ensure compliance to the Emerson Processes and Procedures (ex. Emerson Business Ethics, ITC etc.) and
Business unit guidelines.
- Tracking of material requisition from Project Manager / Project Engineer, ensure its correctness Including
budget price, authorized signature, material description, quantity, delivery date etc.
- Techno-commercial evaluation of offers (Instrumentation, Mechanical, S/W related, Electrical etc), establish
proper level of co-ordination between supplier & technical team, preparation of cost comparative statements
for all quotations.
- Ensure for each PO there is technical clearance from projects engineering team, Necessary approvals &
justification are in place in case of single vendor, proper negotiation with vendor is done and PO generated
in time.
- Reduce the buyout cost through effective negotiation, Rate contract OR develop alternate source for
supply. Effective implementation of Category Management Strategies.
- Expedites vendor deliveries to meet the required project delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with logistics team for material receipt and dispatch for Interco and buyout products.
- Ensure LCR/GRN is done for all material receipts and keep track & record of timely payments to vendors.
- Provide POR projections as per order released on respective suppliers and discuss the same with Project
manager and ensure agreed POR Sales number are met.
- Provide & maintain data to procurement lead & category managers for spend analysis, Benchmarking,
scorecard, or other requirements.
- Participate in Project Audits / ISO Audits and maintain required documentation for the same.
- Follow guidelines & process set by category managers for procurement of items having global agreement
(Interco, Buyouts & Fabrication)
- Effective supervision of change activity to assure adequate protection of the company against potential
supplier claims.
Factor II: Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum Qualification - Bachelor’s in Engineering discipline
- 3-5 Years’ Experience in Oil & Gas, chemical, petrochemical, valve industry, Project Based Companies will be
preferred
- Awareness of Direct/Indirect Taxation, GST, Customs Duty & Freight Forwarding
