Elementary Teacher

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement and update curriculum as student needs dictate.
- Introduce and present new material to individual students.
- Carefully observe and keep daily records on each student’s individual progression through the classroom, always being available to offer gentle guidance.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop rapport with students and treat each child with respect.
- Demonstrates a broad repertoire of teaching strategies that honor varied learning styles meeting the developmental, cognitive, emotional and social needs of children.
- Professional communication with staff and parents alike.
- Conducting parent-teacher meetings.
- Ensure that the materials and teaching aids are clean, safe and maintained.
- Create a system of positive communication and work together with other adults to create and maintain an effective team.
- Articulate the school mission, goals and philosophy clearly and work as team players with the all employees, board and families of the school.

**Requirements**:

- Montessori Certification is preferred.
- If you're an engineering graduate and looking for a career restart after a gap.
- At least 1+ year experience in the elementary classroom working as a Montessori Elementary Teacher.
- Passion for working with children ages 6 to 12 years
- Good communication skills
- Reliable/punctual is essential
