Manual Tester with Genysis Configuration

As a Manual Tester for the GENYSIS Configurator Core System, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, design test cases, execute tests, identify defects, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software development processes. The GENYSIS Configurator Core System is a critical component of our product suite, allowing users to configure and customize complex systems, making your role integral to the delivery of high-quality software to our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand system requirements and design effective test cases.
- Execute manual testing on the GENYSIS Configurator Core System to identify and document software defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases to ensure thorough test coverage.
- Validate that the software meets functional and non-functional requirements through rigorous testing methodologies.
- Participate in test case reviews, test execution, and defect triage meetings to provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Report defects accurately using designated defect tracking tools and monitor the status of defects until resolution.
- Assist in reproducing customer-reported issues to facilitate quicker resolution and improve customer satisfaction.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Collaborate with the automation testing team to identify opportunities for test automation and contribute to the creation of automated test scripts.
- Provide timely and accurate testing status updates to project stakeholders and management.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and suggest best practices for manual testing within the organization.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester, preferably in a software development or IT environment.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience testing complex software systems, especially configuration and customization software.
- Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to systematically troubleshoot and identify software defects.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid organizational skills to manage and prioritize test cases, test execution, and defect reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of programming languages and databases is a plus.

**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Thane, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
