**Job Profile**

The Executive-Advocacy will work closely with the Manager - Advocacy on all communications, branding, and advocacy activities of Aastrika Foundation. The roles and responsibilities of this position are described below
- Acquaint oneself with the brand elements, guidelines, and ethos and ensure that all communication material reflects the same ethos
- Assist in review of social media posts, blogs, and other written collaterals
- Lead the development of social media posts, blogs, and other written collaterals
- Contribute and assist the team to undertake activities to increase awareness about maternal health challenges and potential solutions
- Take a lead role in being aware of the events in the maternal and public health space
- Take a lead on coming up with ideas to advocate the vision and mission of the organisation.
- Take a lead on logistics management with respect to collaterals and events - ensuring quality and timely delivery of collaterals for events as and when required. The events may require travel to other places within and outside of Karnataka
- Assist in coordination with external partners like digital media agencies, designers, PR firms etc.
- Contribute to the print and digital media related work of Aastrika Foundation
- Participate and contribute to organisational activities, as and when required
- The role requires some field travel, especially to government hospitals but not limited to the same, within Karnataka and other places

**About Aastrika Foundation**

Aastrika Foundation is a non-profit formally named AastarUrmika Health Systems. It is a part of the Nilekani Philanthropies umbrella and was established in 2019 by Dr. Janhavi Nilekani with a belief that all child-bearing women should have access to timely, high-quality medical care and to core rights, including, but not limited to, privacy, the companionship of a loved one, informed consent regarding medical interventions, and an abuse-free birthing experience.

As an organisation working towards the implementation of high quality maternity care, Aastrika Foundation primarily works towards addressing the public health challenge of ‘too much, too soon’, and ‘too little, too late’.
