Trainee

**key Responsibilities**:

- ** Design and Planning**:

- Develop and review detailed electrical designs, tower profile for 220kV and EHV transmission lines, including route selection, conductor sizing, and equipment specification.
- Conduct electrical system studies, including load flow, fault analysis, and stability assessments to ensure design meets operational and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with civil engineers to integrate electrical design with site civil works and structural considerations.
- Develop and prepare detailed electrical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software.
- ** Installation and Commissioning**:

- Oversee the installation of 220kV/EHV power lines, substations, and associated high-voltage equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors, ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and project schedules.
- Manage the testing and commissioning of high-voltage systems, verifying compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
- ** Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Develop and implement maintenance programs for 220kV/EHV lines and infrastructure.
- Perform regular inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and prevent disruptions.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving electrical faults or operational problems.
- ** Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensure all designs and installations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design drawings, installation records, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- ** Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Participate in project meetings, provide technical expertise, and address any high-voltage engineering issues.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on 220kV/EHV transmission lines or similar high - voltage systems.
- Proven experience in wind power projects and knowledge of wind farm electrical systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools relevant to high-voltage systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
