**Opening with - A Leading Private Bank**
**Job Title: Senior Relationship Manager - Custody for Capital & Commodity Markets Wholesale Banking Team**
**Location - Mumbai
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Business Development of Custody Services which includes Custody, Fund Accounting and Derivatives Clearing Services to the Foreign Investors investing through various routes in India
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. Product Role
- Custody Services, is a highly specialized offering and requires an in depth understanding of various regulations and market dynamics. The senior RMs have to keep themselves abreast of all developments in the market, client expectations, offerings by Competition and have to accordingly structure/ modify the product offerings.
- 2. Business Target
- The RMs are responsible for achieving business targets in terms of key indicators like Assets under custody/administration, Current account balances, revenues, by way of fees and Fx income.
- 3. Business/ Relationship management
- The job requires constant interactions with the clients in person or over phone and mail. These interactions will be for additional business from existing clients, new business from new to bank clients. This job involves sourcing of new clients across the globe and also keeping in touch with the local intermediaries like Legal, Tax firm etc. The RM is responsible of working on the Request for Proposal or Request for Information received from the clients/prospects, preparation of Presentations and Product notes.
- 4. Liasioning with internal departments
- Since this is a Senior Leadership Role in the bank, the SRM is supposed to be interacting regularly with the various internal stakeholders like Operations, Technology, Compliance and legal. Due to the combine offering of custody with FX income, regular interaction with the team and keeping each other informed of the interaction with the clients.
- This department also earns substantial income by way of FX income. RMs are in constant touch with Treasury department and jointly close the deals. This Division has high transacting clients like: Mutual funds, Insurance companies, Portfolio managers etc. All transactions, with exceptions, requires RMs interventions. Since these division deals with large clients who have their own compliance and legal departments and hence do not easily agree to our standard documentations. The modifications are discussed with Legal, Operations, Compliance etc. till client and bank arrive at a mutual understanding.
