:
Will be responsible for purchase executive profile responsible for handling multiple suppliers and for purchase of Indirect parts, Tooling’s, Capital Equipment’s and Services. Should be familiar with the supply base for relevant items / equipment’s available within India and abroad.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Scheduling parts deliveries as per requirement for indirect material requirements generated through approved Indents
2) Float purchase orders in-line with the requirements of end user
3) Do material tracking & follow-up to maintain receipt commitments, with regards to delivery and Quality
4) Negotiate with vendors to obtain best possible Price and Service.
5) Coordinate for shipments with vendors, freight forwarders & CHA. Possess working knowledge of import procedures and should be confident to handle the domestic as well as international suppliers
6) Co-ordinate with team members for critical material shortages to meet customer ontime delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Graduate or Diploma in Engineering (preferably mechanical), with relevant experience of 8+ years for
Diploma OR 5+ years for Graduate

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
External: Suppliers
Internal: Manufacturing, Purchase, Quality, R&D, Admin, Exim

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
1) Read and understand Engineering Drawings and Quality expectations therein
2) Hands on experience of ERP system (preferably Oracle)
3) Must have handled imports

2) Results orientation - must deliver results & have sense of urgency to deliver tasks on time
3) Ability to anticipate Issues upfront and escalate as necessary
