**Job skills**: Experience in patent prosecution with working knowledge of electronics engineering, proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word, Google Apps (Drive, Gmail, Calendar etc.) critical thinking and problem-solving ability, research skills, drafting skills and communication skills.

**Description**:This role involves the management of patent prosecution work including deadline management, timely drafting and filing of documents, reporting, attending hearings before the Patent Office, researching for and preparing both legal and technical documentation relating to patents. The role requires critical thinking ability along with discipline, timeliness, research skills, technical knowledge and problem solving abilities. You should be comfortable with tackling technical material and understanding the legal concepts and procedures related to patents.

Types of work you may be asked to undertake:

- Conducting prosecution history research;
- Drafting patents, specifications, forms and drawings;
- Conducting patentability, FTO and invalidity searches;
- Reading and understanding a patent;
- Conducting prior art searches;
- Responding to examination reports;
- Attending hearings;
- Filing PCT Applications;
- Researching potential infringers and infringement;
- Preparing claim charts;
- Drafting notes, reports, briefs, memos and presentations.
