**Supervision and Safety**:

- Monitor students during recess, lunch breaks, before and after school hours, or during any other non-instructional times.
- Ensure a safe environment by enforcing school rules and maintaining discipline.
- Address and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
- Provide basic first aid if necessary and report injuries to the appropriate school personnel.
- **Student Engagement**:

- Facilitate and oversee recreational activities that promote physical activity, teamwork, and social interaction among students.
- Encourage inclusive participation in activities, ensuring that all students feel included and valued.
- Assist in organizing and supervising special events or extracurricular activities as needed.
- **Behavioral Management**:

- Address and manage student behavior in accordance with the school’s disciplinary policies.
- Mediate conflicts between students and provide guidance on appropriate behavior.
- Report ongoing behavioral issues to the relevant teachers or school administrators.
- **Communication and Reporting**:

- Maintain clear communication with teachers and school staff regarding student behavior, incidents, or any concerns observed during supervision.
- Document and report any significant incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- **Supportive Duties**:

- Assist teachers with classroom preparation or other duties as assigned during non-supervision times.
- Provide support to students with special needs or those requiring additional supervision.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education and Certification**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or child development preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification may be required.
- Background check and clearance required.
- **Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and supervise large groups of students effectively.
- Ability to handle conflicts and behavioral issues calmly and constructively.
- Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
