- Job Responsibilities
- Market Intelligence: Actively share information and lessons learned with team members for fast turnaround within organisation to capture value from evolving situations
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on carbon market policies, regulations, and trends at the local, national, and international levels. Stay updated on emerging carbon market mechanisms, trading platforms, and related initiatives. Keeping track of various policy developments, their market implications and assessing likely timelines by which these would become reality
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of carbon market policies and strategies in line with organizational goals. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to shape effective policies that promote carbon reduction, market efficiency, and environmental integrity
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop partnerships with key stakeholders in climate policy domain including the private sector, NGOs, registries, policy think tanks, various councils and task forces, industry associations, academia and relevant government agencies. Foster relationships, attend meetings and conferences, and contribute to policy discussions to influence decision-making processes positively
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with internal departments, external consultants, and partners to ensure effective implementation of carbon market policies. Foster partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders to explore joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and best practices
- Communication and Advocacy: Prepare reports, presentations, and communications materials related to carbon market policies and initiatives. Advocate for supportive policies and educate stakeholders on the benefits of carbon markets
- Training and Capacity Building: Provide training and capacity building initiatives for internal staff and external partners on carbon market policies, regulations, and practices. Support knowledge transfer and create awareness about the potential of carbon markets in addressing climate change challenges

Job Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in a role demonstrating increasing responsibility
- Masters degree with experience in carbon markets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- Track a rapidly evolving carbon market and climate policy scenario
- Ability to forge and strengthen partnerships with a diverse set of stakeholders
