English Teacher

**Job Summary**:
Key Responsibilities:
**Teaching**:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive English lessons that cater to the needs of all students.

Develop and implement creative instructional strategies to enhance students' understanding of English language and literature.

Utilize various teaching aids and technology to facilitate effective learning.

Prepare students for board exams by covering the curriculum in depth and conducting regular assessments.

**Assessment & Evaluation**:
Design and administer tests, quizzes, and other forms of assessment to monitor and evaluate students' progress.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.

Maintain accurate records of students' academic and behavioral progress.

**Classroom Management**:
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to actively participate.

Manage student behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.

Implement school policies and disciplinary procedures as necessary.

**Student Development**:
Mentor and guide students to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.

Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication among students.

Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, workshops, and events that promote the holistic development of students.

**Collaboration**:
Work collaboratively with other faculty members and school staff to achieve the school’s academic goals.

Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development programs, and parent-teacher conferences.

Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of teaching practices.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching English at the high school level.

Proficiency in English language and literature.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Familiarity with the CBSE/ICSE curriculum is an advantage.
