Instructional Designer

**Job Summary**

Our Instructional Designers are key players in the effective analysis, design and development of training programs that drive measurable performance improvement. They collaborate with business partners across Giant Eagle to clarify job performance needs and create learning and development solutions for Team Members at all levels.
- Experience Required: 3 to 5 years experience in Instructional Design; 2 to 3 years experience in eLearning design and development and video design and development.
- Experience Desired: 3 to 5 years experience with Articulate StoryLine; 2 to 4 years experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). Experience with LMS including Workday.
- Education Desired: Bachelors Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Multimedia Design, Video or related field

Job Responsibilities
- Analyze internal customer/SMEs needs, and/or instructional goals and objectives to determine appropriate methods of instructional design, instructor-led, eLearning programs, and video.
- Document project requirements and organize project assets for design and development.
- Design and develop learning and performance support materials for a variety of instructional modalities (instructor-led, self-guided, on-the-job, eLearning, web-based content, and video).
- Use an approved instructional methodology (ADDIE/SAM/Rapid Development) for the development of course curriculum.
- Assist Manager of Instructional Design with pilot and program evaluation as necessary.
- Technical writing duties as assigned; Organize and translate information into clear written documentation.
- Implement eLearning/video solutions in the LMS, including manage media assets, setup courses, gather and build assignment criteria, and test courses.
- Works to resolve technical course issues in the LMS as necessary.
- Receives general instructions on new assignments and project milestones; additional instruction as needed.
- Exhibit a willingness and ability to handle multiple assignments involving time constraints and ambiguity.
- Works with vendors to support any outsourced projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
