We are seeking an Associate to join our Digital Society where we support initiatives that support the development of a thriving digital economy through widespread adoption of responsible technology practices - inclusion, privacy, security, transparency and good governance. Our portfolio includes startups such as CloudSEK, Doosra, and PrivaSapien, public technology focused firms such as Tech4Dev, think-tanks such as Digital Futures Lab and Artha Global, and user-focused campaigns such as Reclaim Your Privacy.

Responsibilities will include the following:
**Driving Investments**
- Understanding the sector inside-out, building deep networks, and scoping high potential opportunities
- Evaluating and diligencing investment opportunities, entrepreneurs, business plans and budgets Leading deal execution through ONI investment process from approval to contracting

**Supporting Portfolio**
- Supporting investees with strategy, fundraising, hiring, partnerships including board engagement
- Market scanning on potential competitors, acquisitions & partnerships Monitoring the performance of the investees periodically

**Thought Leadership & Partnerships**
- Building relationships with investors, policymakers, start-up executives, ecosystem players Publish thesis for investments across sectors

**General**
- Collaborate internally to advance ONI strategy and mission
- Represent ONI in a manner that is consistent with our mission Perform other responsibilities, as necessary

**Education, Experience and Skills requirements**:

- Deep passion to leverage technology for social impact, good understanding of the space
- 4-6 years’ experience with preference for those in venture investing, management consulting etc.
- Ability to evaluate opportunities from multiple perspectives (strategic fit, impact, financials etc.,)
- Good communication skills - excellent writing and presentation skills; ability to communicate succinctly
- Good interpersonal skills - ability to work collaboratively with colleagues around the world
- Prior demonstrated interest in social entrepreneurship and creating positive social impact MBA preferred
