Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor in the rubber compounding industry, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in the production and processing of rubber compounds. You will be responsible for ensuring that all production processes are completed efficiently and effectively, while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and coordinate the work of production staff, including machine operators, compounders, and material handlers, to ensure that production schedules are met
- Monitor production processes to ensure that they are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to established quality standards
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and in good working condition, and that all safety protocols are followed
- Manage inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished products are available to meet production schedules
- Implement and maintain production and quality control procedures to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste
- Train and develop production staff, including providing feedback and coaching to help employees improve their skills and performance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve production processes, reduce costs, and increase overall efficiency
- Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory reports
- Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and engineering, to resolve production issues and improve overall operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
- 0-3+ years of experience in production management or supervision, preferably in a rubber compounding or related industry
- Strong understanding of production processes and equipment, including mixing, milling, and extrusion processes
- Experience with quality control and process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of employees
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software.
