**Job Description: VDI Architect**

**Position Overview**:
As a VDI Architect, you will collaborate with the Stefanini Enterprise Services team to engage with vendors, assess architectural solutions, and evaluate their integration into our delivery systems. You will also support and review end-user technologies, develop standard end-user environments, and ensure the effective operation of our virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) on a global scale.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Documentation and Framework Development**: Create and maintain knowledge base articles, architecture frameworks, and detailed diagrams for various end-user and desktop virtualization products.
- ** Documentation Management**: Develop, audit, and update all VDI-related documentation, including architecture, configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, and support manuals.
- ** Knowledge Transfer and Training**: Provide detailed design and operational documentation to team members and develop training resources for support personnel to offer Tier I support to end users.
- ** Project Coordination**: Collaborate with the project delivery team to ensure the successful completion of medium to large enterprise projects.
- ** Vendor and Management Collaboration**: Work with vendors and management on VDI-related hardware, software, licensing, and service engagements.
- ** Customer Demonstrations**: Facilitate in-depth demonstrations of VDI functions and features to customers.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: Stay updated on new features and product releases to become an acknowledged expert in the field.

**Required Skills**:

- ** Education and Experience**: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with 8+ years of experience in one or more EUC technologies, including Horizon & Horizon Cloud, Citrix CVAD & Intelligent Workspaces, and Microsoft (M365, AVD & AAD).
- ** VDI Technologies**: Proficiency in DEM, App Volumes, VMware Workstation, Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp, Citrix PVS, Citrix Director, Citrix StoreFront, Citrix MCS, HDX 3DX Pro, NVIDIA vGPU, and Citrix Receiver.
- ** Solution Design**: Experience in designing and building VDI solutions, including Azure Windows Virtual Desktop, Horizon Cloud, and Citrix Cloud on Azure/AWS.
- ** Lifecycle Management**: Experience with OS and software lifecycle management, including upgrades and major changes for Windows 10 / O365 / macOS.
- ** Security and Compliance**: Understanding of virtual desktop security and compliance measures, including antivirus, firewalls, disk encryption, and data protection.
- ** Monitoring and Diagnostics**: Skills in virtual desktop monitoring and diagnostics using relevant tools.
- ** Security Concepts**: Hands-on experience with security concepts such as SSL, Kerberos, certificates, MFA, and identity management (SSO).
- ** Active Directory**: Sound knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, including users, permissions, OUs, Group Policies, and Domain Controllers.
- ** Networking**: Understanding of network components such as DHCP, load balancers, and firewalls.

**Preferred Skills**:

- ** Certifications**: VCP DTM2021, CC-VAD, MCS-AVD.
- ** Infrastructure Assessment**: Ability to assess existing infrastructure components in customer environments, including AD, CA, DHCP, DNS, patching, file & storage, and network.
- ** Scripting and Automation**: Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Perl, Shell) and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, CloudForms, SCCM).
- ** Cloud Solutions**: Experience with public, hybrid, and private cloud solutions.
- ** Deployment Tools**: Knowledge of image creation and deployment (MDT/AutoPilot/DEP), software packaging, maintenance, and endpoint security management.
- ** SaaS & Cloud Hosting**: Familiarity with SaaS and cloud hosting environments.
- ** Troubleshooting and ITIL**: Good hardware troubleshooting skills, understanding of networking protocols, and familiarity with ITIL practices.
