Our team comprises a passionate bunch who write content which is concise, compelling and relevant across news, sports, entertainment, infotainment and Christian genres for the smartphone generation. So if you want a media career into the future, are passionate about issues women face across the world and think you can write news from a woman's perspective, this job may interest you. You’ll be expected to write on issues such as crimes and injustice against women, gender-based violence, domestic violence, marital rape, women's health and mental health, sexual and other exploitation of women, equal pay, sexism, sexual harassment, barriers to women in leadership, women in politics, women's education, patriarchy, gender equality, gender stereotyping, career issues, balancing a career and family, reproductive health

And there is an excellent career growth path, plus you will also learn about new media technologies.
- You must have a first degree in journalism/English/women’s studies and a Masters degree in either of those 3 areas (or vice versa). A women’s studies degree is not essential but would be an advantage. A Masters degree is essential.
- You must have very good English writing skills to condense stories into snippets of 320 characters or less. This is key as 99pc of people can write 30 lines but cannot write the same (only relevant information) in 3 lines.
- Most importantly, you must be able to write on women’s issues from a woman’s perspective - passionately but with empathy and sensitivity.

The rest we can teach you.
- It’s hard work in the beginning, but we can teach you anything if you have a good attitude and a 'can do' and 'want to learn' mindset. A good sense of humour would be a bonus.
