**Job Title**: Safety Officer
**Department**: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
**Reporting To**: HSE Manager / Project Manager

**Job Objective**:
To implement and maintain safety protocols at the project site, ensure compliance with HSE regulations, and foster a culture of safety to achieve a zero-accident work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement client-approved safety and loss prevention programs across project sites.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of legal documents such as HSE Plan, Legal Register, and Emergency Response Plan.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRAC).
- Lead regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and in-house training sessions.
- Organize and conduct emergency mock drills, fire safety demonstrations, and fall protection exercises.
- Ensure work areas are inspected and safe work permits are in place before job commencement.
- Prepare and maintain daily safety reports, incident/accident reports, and safety statistics.
- Liaise with client safety departments and support the execution team in implementing site-specific safety plans.
- Educate site personnel on safe working practices and monitor compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate near misses and safety violations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote STOP (Safety Training Observation Program) campaigns to identify and mitigate hazards.

**Qualifications & Certifications**:

- Diploma in Industrial Safety Management
- NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety (UK)
- IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)
- OSHA 30-hour Course
- First Aid Certified (Indian Red Cross Society)
- Diploma in Computer Science Engineering

**Experience**:

- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Safety Officer in India and abroad (e.g., Saudi Arabia).
- Experience with reputed organizations such as Sterling & Wilson, ETA Engineering, and Saudi Bin Ladin Group.
- Project experience in ports, construction, and industrial environments.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and construction safety
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer operations
- Multilingual: English, Hindi, Urdu
- Ability to manage multi-contractor/multinational workforce environments

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹10,475.21 - ₹45,928.77 per month
