**Introduction**:
As the research and analysis division of the Economist Group, The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) helps leaders prepare for opportunity, empowering them to act with confidence when making strategic decisions. The EIU is the global standard in providing quality, actionable intelligence to the public and private sector, assessing issues that impact the marketplace for over two hundred countries.

The EIU currently has an opportunity for an Account Executive (AE) in our London, Canary Wharf office. In this role you will manage the relationship with high-potential clients, through the use of Sales Force (SF). The AE will be the primary conduit between the client and the EIU. The AE will manage the account portfolio, handle queries, as well as serve as the liaison between the client, EIU editorial analysts and EIU technical support teams. The AE will be responsible for negotiating renewal terms, implementing annual price increases and selling additional subscription services to the client.

**Accountabilities**:
**How will you contribute**:

- Manage the communication process with the client by ensuring each account receives a communication 180, 90, 60 and 30-days prior to end of the renewal period
- Maintain and grow retention rates
- Achieve new business growth through up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients
- Identify risk within assigned accounts and work with internal and external stakeholders to present solutions
- Own overall relationship with assigned clients, manage customer success activities including training clients on EIU products
- Provide accurate monthly renewal forecasts
- Maintain and complete all relevant account records in SalesForce (SF)

- An undergraduate degree preferably in international affairs or economics or equivalent work experience
- Relevant experience in client servicing and accont management
- Experience in selling information and intelligence solutions
- Proficiency in English. Business-level fluency in other languages an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building skills and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated and driven with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
