**Job Title: Horizontal Boring Operator**

**Job Summary**:
As a Horizontal Boring Operator, you will be responsible for operating horizontal boring machines to produce precision bores, holes, and surfaces in metal workpieces. You will set up machines, load materials, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure the accurate and efficient production of parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements and dimensions for workpieces.
- Set up horizontal boring machines by securing workpieces in fixtures or clamps, installing cutting tools, and adjusting machine controls.
- Program and adjust machine parameters, including spindle speed, feed rate, and tool offsets, to optimize machining operations for different materials and part geometries.
- Operate horizontal boring machines to perform boring, drilling, milling, and tapping operations to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes.
- Monitor machine operation and performance during production runs, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity.
- Conduct inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges, to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions or operational issues and make minor repairs or adjustments to ensure continuous operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on horizontal boring machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to prevent breakdowns and prolong machine life.
- Document machine setups, tool changes, and production parameters for traceability and replication.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality inspectors to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot problems, and improve production efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior operators or apprentices on horizontal boring machine operation, setup, and maintenance techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining or CNC operation is preferred.
- Proven experience as a horizontal boring operator or in a similar machining role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials, with proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with horizontal boring machine operation, setup, programming, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to interpret G-code programming language and make adjustments to machine controls as needed.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions or operational issues.
- Attention to detail and precision in performing machining operations and inspecting finished parts.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and operate machine controls.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of work.

**Work Environment**:
This role typically operates in a manufacturing or production environment, where noise levels and temperature may vary. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, and adherence to safety protocols is essential.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
